Special Teams Coach Hot Board

If there is any wind tonight, go cut down a tree that falls down on their home to accidentally damage it.

Hopefully that’s encouraging for Ek to stay closer to help if anything else like that happens again so he could help out.
Eh with how things go for Nebraska this would cause him to take a leave from football while he attends to family issues..

I love to overreact.
But you people are taking this a bit too far.

Does losing Mike stink. Sure
Is it a make or break moment for Rhule? lol no

He’s still a mediocre coach that finished a mediocre 3rd season.

A special teams coordinator wasn’t going to make next year better or worse.
Babes, chill the fuck out.

Sadly, this

Just doesn’t matter so long as Rhule is here

And I fully believe he, a limpdick feelings-first team mom, didn’t get along with actual football guy Ek

I've been as negative as anybody but it is kind of funny. 2 seasons ago it was like, if Nebraska just gets better at special teams. Just don't be bad at special teams they have 2 more wins on their schedule.

Then Nebraska gets A LOT better on special teams....same amount of wins Lol. Sorry guys the curse lives on.

Program would’ve been further ahead if we still had bad special teams. We definitely would’ve lost a couple more early season games & Rhule never gets his extension, seats hot as can be going into 26.

I don't think Rhule's seat is actually that hot. Part of the fanbase may but doubt the powers that be consider it above a 2/5.

Maybe the message board fan base is probably 50/50 or little more on keeping but the non message board fans are generally more keep than let go.

I agree but if we went 5-7 this year it would’ve been decently hot. I think most fans see the writing on the wall that his seat is about to be hot though with how this offseason has went and the 2026 schedule coming up.

I hate when people assume they know how a season will go - we had no idea Indiana was going to be a monster in 2024 and with the portal, etc., I don’t see how we can say much about next year honestly.

Obviously we are not going undefeated, but this is going to be a much different team (for better or worse) playing against a bunch of teams that probably have a ton of changes too - why are we pre-firing Rhule?

Texas and Penn St were preseason top 3
