This is very cool. I've eaten at 4 of them, Antoine's, Tadich Grill in SF, Legends in Deadwood and the Carolina Coffee Shop in Chapel Hill. Would have been 5 but the oldest one in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, The City Tavern established in 1773, closed down recently. It's right next to Independence Hall and was frequented by the Founding Fathers. They still had dishes from the 1700's with the original recipes.

The flu is all over the schools up here. Mrs. LHR could sub every day filling in for teachers who fell ill to the stuff.
And in other news, you don't have to be in public schools to get sick. My left leg blew up overnight Monday night - staff or strep - and I've been placed on two really obnoxious antibiotics as a treatment plan. I always thought antibiotics were benign, friendly little things were "from corporate and here to help". Jamies H. Winston, the warning labels on these things are frightening. We've stopped the spread, not its time to tamp this stuff down and get the healing underway. I'm sure as shit not vanquishing opponents on the pickleball court on this leg:
The line my Dr drew on my leg was a "if it goes beyond here, get your ass to the hospital now". His magic pen apparently stopped it in it's tracks.

Thanks, amigo. I made the joke on my follow-on visit to the Dr. yesterday that I'd already started shopping on Etsy for a designer peg legs based on how I was feeling. He smirked and said "it's a little early for that line of thinking - let's let the antibiotics do their job".

At the gym I’ve been working out at there’s a track up above around the gymnasium that I jog around after I lift. I saw an older lady with only one arm and one leg playing pickleball the other day. So it’s possible!

Prayers for you. Do not mess around with those kind of infections. It sounds like your doc is on top of it.
Yeah, antibiotics can be pretty brutal. A few years ago I had a salivary gland infection and the whole side of my face blew up like the mumps which was a bit disconcerting to say the least. Doc gave me Clindamycin and it worked but it literally destroyed my digestive tract. A Gastro did an endoscopy and my esophagus, stomach and duodenum were irritated and inflamed. Easy fix by doubling my Prilosec for 2 months but he said don't ever take that shit again.
