I think I need to create a roster attrition view for non scholarship given that we believe we need to be down to 120 total. 85 as scholarship and 35 as walk-ons.
assuming we continue to generate enough NILK money to fund the acquisition of scholarship players up to the internal roster limit, we are simply looking at a reduced overall roster made of the 85 limit players and an easier to manage pool of 35 NIL players who all should have the ability to contribute in a meaningful way.
It is likely to mean far fewer Nebraska kids get to walk on, not only because the roster is smaller but also because they will be competing for spots with a national talent pool. It will be interesting to see how the fan base reacts.
If they like winning, they should react favorably. We all know they wonāt, though.

I recently lived in AZ for a few years and neither the fans or local recruits give a shit about either college team. I used to have season tix to ASU for fun, and every game empties at halftime. It seemed like the top recruits always left the state.
