Evan Bland wrote an article prior to this season and he talked about the "rule of 25" which is generally true of good teams. You add up the combined seasons of regulars in a lineup (1 for freshman, 2 for sophomore, etc) and the total should be at least 25. In 2021 we were at 30, 2022 we were at 25, and in 2023 we were somewhere between 28 and 34.
For 2024 we will have quite a bit coming back. If you add up our returning starters and IF/OF then we are sitting at 32ish, and that's not including whoever plays 2B and 3B (or SS, depending on where Carey is going to play). Mozley did start at 2B for us toward the end of the season this year, and he will be a senior next year. And we've got a bunch of juco infielders coming in as well who put up good numbers in juco.
I dunno if your're supposed to count relief pitchers in this calculation, but we've got a nice core of relief pitchers coming back as well.
So if nothing else, we seem to be gradually building a more experienced roster.
