Just exchanged a few texts with someone as close as it gets to the situation. Zavier is registered and fully enrolled. He is taking 18 credit hours and also will be participating in Spring ball, but his primary focus will be on school.

Zavier is the one who initiated this. He has gone through *it* a bit recently and reached out over the holidays for help and make a change. Those close to him are hopefully that this was a true wake-up call for him.

Would be a refreshing change for players to think twice before jumping ship. The transfer portal has become way too quick of a reset button that too many push so they can go through the cycle of being coveted again, assume they'll end up in a better place, but ultimately don't change their situations for the better.

I think that's right. his first year was 2020, which doesn't count due to covid. so he played in 2021 and then used his redshirt last year, so 3 left to play 3

Betts would be a great get if it all pans out. He’s got speed. Jet Sweeps, Screens, WR options all nice plays for him to show his skills. Also, a deep threat.
