WWII book recommendations

I'm more of a South Pacific guy as my father was a Jar-Head over there in 1944-1946.

Anything written Eugene Sledge is a great read as well.

Two of the best that I’ve ever read on the War in the Pacific:

At Dawn We Slept (for Pearl Harbor)
Incredible Victory ( for Midway)

A quick read but quite interesting first hand account on breaking German Codes
The Ultra Secret by Winterbotham

the E. B. Sledge books are excellent. IIRC, they were used as the basis for The Pacific on HBO and the Nazi Seizure of Power by William Allen is outstanding.
