Is it Smothers or Purdy? Given Mickey's interviews this week about have to be content getting 3-4 yards a carry. #1, was that a public message to Whipple to run the fucking rock often? I think so.

If it's Purdy - Whipple gets his way and Whipple continues to not run the ball and we get routed...bad. Dafuq you doing Mickey.

If it's Smothers - We may stay in it for a half, move the ball decent, but eventually get bullied around because our OL still sucks.

I just don't see how you don't start Smothers. But I'm going to guess we see Purdy start and it will be a shit show from the beginning.

Whipple obviously wants Purdy. Mickey said some things that make me think he will push for Smothers to start. It's obvious Smothers is better than Purdy. But I doubt it makes much difference besides how badly we get beat. Not much chance at all to even be competitive for a half, but it would be nice to see.

I think we could be competitive for a half if Smothers is the QB and they focus on running the ball, staying ahead of the sticks and utilizing QB run game, whoever the QB is. I just feel like Whipple will stick to the script...will MJ hold his ass to fire so that he does...hopefully.

Purdy

I would brace yourselves for a lot of Purdy before a change is made. 1st team snaps favored Purdy this week.

Whipple is not comfortable with the style of playcalling that would give Smothers and our team success. His running packages are very bland and he only looks at runs as a necessary evil to set up the pass.

Hiring Whipple was perhaps the single biggest fuck-up of Frosts tenure that is still having repercussions months after he was fired.

With our O Line I'm not sure it matters. Hopefully we see a rotation of the 2 as I fully expect them to take a major beating from Bitchigan's D.

Either QB will probably look good during Whipple’s scripted series, but Purdy looks like a baby doe when the script ends. Logan handles the pressure better and he improvises better. And honestly, he was the better passer last week by a wide margin. If Purdy starts I hope his leash isn’t longer than 1 bad series.

Probably Purdy but he may be @dead before the end of the first half. Can't wait to see chumps like Benhart try to block this front 7

So true on the Whipple hire. I wasn't a big fan when it happened, but figured.....what the hell, maybe this is the best we can do. Let's give it a try.

What Narduzzi said about Whipple didn't get lost on me whatsoever. This really is no surprise.

Credit where credit is due, Frost and Whipple had a really nice thing going for 3 games. And Frost was actually able to keep Whipple in check where now he doesn’t give a fuck what Mickey thinks.

If only Mickey had coordinator experience. He could tell Whipple to hit the road.

If they are dumb enough to start Purdy, I don't think it matters because Michigan will knock him out in the first 3 drives.

But we are Nebraska, so Purdy will start.

I live about 20 miles from the Big House. It's 38 degrees, with 15 mph winds, and a light snow right now.

Weather strongly favors a team that averages 250 ypg rushing and 5.7 ypc (as if they need help)
