I agree with this. GKMC is for sure the one to start with. I would suggest listening to Black Messiah by D'Angelo (one of the best albums of the last decade in its own right) before listening to TPAB because TPAB was heavily influenced by that album (and it is fucking awesome).

His music isn't really my jam, nothing wrong with it, but as a person he gets two thumbs up from me. He was fantastic with the kids and sat in on a poetry class where he was willing to work 1 on 1 with kids.
