I enjoy the new rivals. The writers put out really good content. Not really inside info stuff. But too quality articles. They don’t take them selves to seriously and can admit faults. I think once we have a new staff they will start to shine.
The new Rivals staff is waaay better than the old one which is now at ON3. I think with a head coaching change, and most if not all of the assistants changing also, this is a great chance for the new Rivals staff to build inroads with the new blood of coaches. I think it is a bad thing for Dean and ON3 as they will lose even more inroads. Less Dean being the bought mouthpiece of north stadium is a good thing. Not that I ever go over to ON3 - whats the point - it's mouthpiece drivel mostly. The posters who were Dean followers seemed to all go there, which is fine with me.
TPB by far #1 Husker board, new Rivals staff/board #2. ON3 not worth ranking IMHO.

I’ve heard a few people say they went there for a dollar and will drop later. Makes sense. I just didn’t want to give him a $1.00 so it was a hard no for me.
Too many people close to me who have run into him in the public (like in the line at Starbucks) and said he was just a giant knob. He sees himself as a celebrity. I just don’t get it.
Completely agree. I never once had any inclination to give him dollar. He sees himself as some really important cog in relation to the NU Football media world. He has zero self awareness and runs his site like an autocrat that only allows information that he approves of while everything else is deleted.
Because they're buddies.
Self awareness is a beautiful thing. Shame so many people don’t have it.

My eyes were really opened during the Pelini Years. I was privy to some great inside information that I shared with Dollar Dean & his writers in DM's. Knew some players, played football with one of our Asst Coaches and had a relative who was a political fundraiser that was tight with all kinds of rich boosters. Not all of it was information that painted Nebraska in a good light, but was true. I named my sources too when DM'ing Dollar Dean but always asked him to keep their names out of it. So many times they proceeded to write fluff pieces that were positive thus got readers excited, instead of telling the truth. Here are just a couple instances but I have a bunch more:
One of my KU business partners was good friends with Isaiah Simmons and his family. Isaiah had ruled out KU in his recruiting so I had my buddy contacting them asking what Isaiah was thinking about recruiting. They had no idea he was being a Mole for a Husker fan, just thought it was a good friend asking. I shared that information in DM's with Dollar Dean and his writers. And named my sources. They had no interest in what I was telling them. I posted some of it on RSS and got DM's from posters, some of which are connected to the Athletic Department and recruiting department as they said what I was sharing was what they were hearing. They literally were DM'ing me questions that I was texting from my friends phone to Isaiah's brother and father. Felt like I was a Recruiting Spy helping my beloved Huskers out. Dollar Dean and his crew continued to write Fluff Pieces energizing his readers & selling subscriptions instead of telling the truth.
We were recruiting Amani Bledsoe, a 4 Star DE from Lawrence, KS. A very good friend of mine was training Amani plus helping him with his recruitment. Normally I won't name a source but in this case since he has passed away I will. Keith Loneker, RIP Big Man, who played O Line for KU and later in the NFL for the Rams & Falcons before going into movies then unfortunately dying of cancer. Keith told me in our conversations that there was ZERO chance Amani was commiting to BoPelini & Nebraska. Kid hated BoPelini plus wanted to play somewhere warmer. Hated the cold. Gave me all sorts of other reasons he wouldn't go to Nebraska and what was going on with his recruitment. I passed that information on to Dollar Dean & Robin Washut in DM's. Once again gave them my source and next thing you know Robin writes an article that makes it sound like we one of a couple favorites for his commitment. Pumped all kinds of sunshine and served up big glasses of Kool Aid. RSS Posters were gushing about how great the recruiting was going under that staff. Amani committed to Oklahoma which was 1 of the 3 schools I was told were finalists. None of them were Nebraska but Dean lead his readers to believe we had a very good chance. Boy Wonder seems to get a pass over there, but he's just as big of a dumbass as the rest of them.
The slide started when he pulled his article that Bo should be fired. Bo was pissed about the post, but Bo lost respect for him when Schwan gave in and deleted it. At that point he became a pawn.
He has trended downhill ever since, but has been gaining speed in the last couple years. The ‘Dean’ moniker really bugs him. Nate leaving really bugs him. The parody skit REALLY bugs him. I think he realizes he might be ‘liked’ around the state, but many don’t respect him that know him.
