My big takeaway from this thread is most people are afraid to post their soft rock or guilty pleasure favorites.

As someone who wasn’t alive. You guys who were teens in this era had to have it all.

Except tinder. But other than that.
I was 10 through 1984 until November.
Such a formative time in my life musically.

Edit.
Movies too.
Red dawn
Gremlins
Ghost busters
A Nightmare on Elm street
Police academy
Beverly Hills Cop
Karate kid
Terminator
Footloose
Conan the destroyer
Top secret
The Natural
The list goes on and on….

I was born in 89. But grew up on 80’s culture. That list of movies were what shaped me as decrepit human. I remember watching terminator often as a small child.

Legendary movie. Would make a really good tv series if done correctly.

My personal favorite was Bloodsport. I watched it religiously. It got me into martial arts as a child.
Bloodsport...fuck yeah. That was the first Van Damme movie I remember seeing.

Metal

Other stuff

I filled in for spite like 8 years ago in Omaha somewhere. One of the last shows I did fill in work on. One of the few I did for vocals. Spite is awesome.

You into any of Stick Figure, The Movement, Fortunate Youth, Slightly Stoopid, Common Kings, Rebelution?
Common Kings moreso than the others. Pepper and bumping uglies too though they're like reggae adjacent.

I try to get into slightly Stoopid like twice a year and can never get there more.than a few songs
