What Illinois & Texas is Saying?

ILLINOIS

  • BIG road games are never easy, and this Nebraska team is full of talent.
  • Its all about having an "old team". This game was going in the "L" column three years ago.
  • A win is a win. Keep it up, gentlemen!
  • We are 3-0 on the road in the conference with no true point guard.
  • Won’t be re-watching that one… Happy to escape with the W.
  • Give some credit to Nebby, they played hard and as others have posted they have some talent on that team. That kid McGowens is going to be a PITA for us for a few years I’m afraid.
  • hopefully he goes pro, he's as high as a lotto pick in some mocks already..was a top 20ish kid out of HS if i recall
  • His brother is on the team, it's going to be a while before he's done
  • Give Nebby their props. They came out and took it to us from the start. They were ready to play.
  • Nebraska really gets in your face. I was impressed with their intensity.
  • I'll be honest. I think @Nebraska is going to be the so-called 'trap game' for a lot of teams. The atmosphere is dead in their stadium, they have some good players and they have nothing to lose. They may get some team before the end of the season.
  • Nebraska gave us all we wanted but we're tough to hang with.
  • Nebraska took Ohio State to OT and eventually lost - so they really seem to be pretty good at home.
  • I think the screamer from Northwestern transferred to Nebraska?
  • Nebraska still also significantly worse than anyone else so far in the B1G
  • Once again Illinois got all it could handle during a visit to Nebraska.
  • My wife, who watches no basketball, said are these announcers Nebraska fans? She said they keep praising Nebraska, are they watching the game? She never comments on basketball games ever. But she was not wrong.

TEXAS

  • Casey to Nebraska
  • Good luck to him!
  • didn't go anywhere he had to compete, Tells me something.
  • Man, it must be satisfying to get on a message board and talk down on a 22 year old, that you watch on tv from your couch.
  • Awesome for Casey!
  • I guess I’ll have to cheer for Nebraska for one year. I think I can do that. And we won’t have to play him except for a possible bowl game.
  • Seeing as how we aren't playing Nebraska outside some odd bowl matchup, wish him the best. Hope he has a good year with the Huskers.
  • They ain’t kids no more…they get paid like the rest of us.
  • He’s going to tear it up there.
  • No surprise it’s Nebraska, good luck luck Casey
  • He'll do well there academically as well. Finish that Grad Degree!
  • Casey to Decoldest for the score.
  • Nebraska beats ou next season. Good luck to CT.
  • Excited for Casey hope he tears it up at Nebraska bout time that team caught a break!
  • I bet his Dad is wondering what he did wrong. First Casey plays at Texas then transfers to Nebraska...two of OUs biggest rivalrys. Best of luck Casey. Hook 'em!!!
  • Hopefully he gets healed up, and has a big year in 2022!! Maybe him and Frost can put something good together!
  • I’ll be pulling for Nebraska big time next season hoping they do great!
  • As about a 5th year senior, why would you pick anywhere you have to compete when you can play at Nebraska? Blue blood program.
  • It's bad enough to have your son play for one of your arch rivals; but having your son play for both of your arch rivals. Ouch. As a parent, I feel for Charles Thompson.
  • I’m just glad he didn’t go to OU. With it being reported he was such a book worm and constantly in the film room, he could’ve given OU way too much info about or offense.
  • Upgrade for Nebraska, I wish him well. He was unlucky that the messiah transferred to Texas.
  • The kid battled his heart out, won the right to start, played hurt, and was a great teammate. Best of luck to him
  • I am happy for Casey. I like him and wish him the best. Good luck at Nebraska.
  • Nothing but good things to say about Casey. Good luck to him
  • Wish him all the best. Thank you for always being about the team.
  • I don't think he is going to play in the NFL because of his arm strength. Still wish him luck at Neb.
  • I'll be rooting for him!
  • Actually know Casey personally and just wish him all the best.He didn't burn any bridges publicly and hope he is able to fulfill his life long dream and hopefully we can just all remember the good times.
  • I wish him the best of luck and I'll be rooting for him. Our fans have a way of treating QBs here like trash if they aren't Colt or VY which is ridiculous.
  • I read a stat where CT scored 5 TDs three separate times and lost. That usually speaks to what was around the QB and it isn't a surprise he couldn't carry the worst OL and worst defense in the conference.
  • Left it all on the field for us. He will
Always be a Longhorn. Go get em Casey!!!!
  • Good luck Casey, thanks! I like the guys moxie
  • For the most part CT was instrumental in scoring enough points to win most if not all the games he started. He had nothing to do with the defense giving up the points for Texas to lose those games they should have won. Casey will do well at Nebraska. Just my opinion.
