What do you do to get through the January-March time of the year?

Once you move to a warm weather state after growing up in NE, January through March feels like a vacation.

As a grain farmer, this time of year sucks!! Snowmobiling in the mountains or call of duty warzone is about it this time of year. Fortunately I do the book keeping so my wife doesn’t know what I spend on repairs on my sled and on new controllers for my ps5 because someone is “cheating”😂😂. No kids YET so I do have time to play video games with my old college buddies.
I’m pretty much in the same boat except I have a 6 month old now. I still try and game a bit with the guys, but damn I’m dragging ass because of it. Used to be able to count on a good sleep even if I stayed up late, but with a kid you run the risk of basically getting no sleep. Need to manage my addiction better.

My other winter hobby is ice fishing. Waiting impatiently for a little bit thicker ice. Looks like that will come to fruition next week.

Otherwise for me it’s a lot of book work, and a little bit of grain hauling (even though that can be a pain in the ass this time of year).

I read books.

January and a good chunk of February gets taken care of by working 80 hours a week. Year-end sucks. I'm not a tax accountant, but it is starting to feel like it. Thankfully, I manage the stress by not sleeping.
