What are the “cool kids” from your high school up to nowadays?

My graduating class was like 1k people...the only universally known kids were 4/5 Star athletes or a rich/famous person's kids. So who knows.

My best buddy was Homecoming King our senior year...he was a cool kid (he smoked cigarettes). He ended up becoming a lead animator on a popular TV show that we would previously smoke tons of weed and watch...so that was really cool for us. The Prom King that year went to the NFL and is now coaching football here at a HS in AZ, which is also cool.

Most of my class remained in town and the HS remains the central part of their life's orbit. They married people from HS, they've been faithful to attending every major HS event, and their kids go to the same HS. I don't keep up with them aside from having them on social media as I'm 1600 miles away. They seem happy so that's cool but I needed to move on from it.

HS was great in real time but once I got to college and beyond the HS experiences didn't mean as much to me. I regularly see classmates post about memories from HS (including ones I was involved in) and I hardly remember any of that stuff anymore. I don't have dementia, but my HS memory files have been overwritten with things more memorable to me.

I think its weird when people talk about high school as the glory years, pretty said

I graduated with 36 kids from a private catholic high school. I'd say 34 are successful adults, 1 had asbergers and pretty sure he lives with his mom still. His dad was a college professor who got hit with child porno charges. The other has like 6 kids with 3 different fat chicks and is always asking for help on Facebook. The big public school down the street though has kept the county jail at near capacity and the state pen well supplied for years.

I don't know if they were necessarily THE cool kids, but a couple of my buddies from high school that were pretty popular got arrested recently. One got pulled over with over 200lbs or marijuana on him (and a bunch of other shit). The other got his home raided where the found 25lbs of weed and a bunch of other shit (and he lived in a school zone...).

This sounds like Falls City. Is this Falls City?

I think there was 38 or so in my graduating class. One was @Drue629 . I can’t think of anyone sticking out as doing anything particularly amazing. I don’t know where most of them are now.

I remember when I was a senior in high school saying something in passing about knowing that I would look back on that time as the best years of my life, and my dad just laughing at me and saying “no, that would be college.”
Oh to be young and dumb again

Most of the hot girls are now heavy and married, yet a handful I know cheat on their husbands fairly regularly, and have at reunions although I haven’t been to a reunion. One exception is a girl I “dated”that now does a lot of wellness stuff. She’s an idiot, though, and in my opinion, a charlatan, although I did see her on GMA a few months ago. It’s not surprising to me as she was super-ambitious, but seemed morally “loose”.
Several of my old buddies are doing very well, and some are complete losers that I haven’t talked to in well over a decade. Haven’t been to a reunion because they have been poorly planned.
I don’t have FB, IG, or any of that stuff, so there are a bunch of people that I have no idea about, but I had a graduating class of about 300.

My dad said the same thing, and after my first year he said, “what good are the best years of your life if you can’t remember them?”

Proud Benson Bunny from the Class of '67. We had 850 in our graduating class and there were some notables. Dave Karnes was a US Senator. Another guy became the Deputy Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency in D.C. Lots of doctors and attorneys as well.

Surprisingly I'm one of only 3 that lives in California. We all moved here when it was cool to live out here, the '70s.

Tangentially related, I’ve started to help plan our 20 year class reunion coming up this fall and I feel old af

Popular kid and Falls City PUBLIC Alum checking in and I'm

Coming out of my cage
And I've been doing just fine
Gotta gotta be down
Because I want it all

Jealousy, turning Catholic saints into pedos
Swimming through sick lullabies
Choking on alibis
But it's just the price Falls City Public pays
Destiny is calling me
Open up my eager eyes
cuz I'm Mr. Brightside
