Can’t you do a streaming network?Has anyone here watched Husker games while deployed? This is the last game I will get to watch from home and was wondering how hard it is to watch while over seas?
It says you need a vpn. It works for youtubetv. I assume it work for other streaming services. https://www.technadu.com/how-to-watch-youtube-tv-outside-us/16917/No idea, I know some base it on your location and i know some countries black things out. This is my first time so I'm about to learn.
Oh sweet I haven't dove that far into it yet but YouTube TV is what I currently use. Thank you brother! It says you need a vpn. It works for youtubetv. I assume it work for other streaming services. https://www.technadu.com/how-to-watch-youtube-tv-outside-us/16917/
Awesome, I plan on using it for fi but will try it for more. Thank youVPN plus watching on the specific channel apps. You’ll get kicked off YouTubeTV after a couple months until you login from your local area, but still have access via the direct apps/watch live pages in a browser.
If you want direct access to your YTTV account, you can also have a friend or family member login for you at home to reset YTTV. I believe Google also might have a special exemption for service members that you might look into (can’t remember if that is just for Fi or if it applies to the YTTV local area as well).
My guess is it’s just for Fi, since you get into all the local TV contracts on the YTTV side of things. Never hurts to try though.Awesome, I plan on using it for fi but will try it for more. Thank you
Good point, I never thought about the geo tracking side of things. I will have to check with the security ops on post when we get there...I may be the NCO that would be expected to know this.AFN will usually have the CBS afternoon game and the ABC night game
before you try to watch YouTubeTV on base check with your NCO (they will probably know) if they don’t know your commanding officer or intel officer will know if it’s ok (geo tracking apps or websites sometimes are a no no)

Thanks for the advice!
