Pick a side JamesThere's probably some ground in between I think Rhule is an idiot and I agree with absolutely every decision Rhule makes.
You’d think after 27 years since Dabo’s 26 year old full time assistant gig that it would become more normalized - shifting toward younger coaches like that because when people see a situation work, they try to bottle it up for themselves. That doesn’t seem all that similar. 100% made up…I'm not sure where you got 27 lol but I agree with your sentiment.
50-70 more this offseason and then you strap on for when his unit has to perform on the field cause that number finna be weeklyHow many times and threads does this kid need to be over-analyzed in?
He’s one of the coaches so let’s see how it plays out. I’ll trust Rhule’s instincts until he proves otherwise.

Taters, the lot of them.People are freaking out. Too many dumbs

No different than number of white coaches vs black coaches debate. Simple, hire whoever is right for the job. After 3 decades, I would say that having a 24 year old assistant (23 at time of hire) would be considered pretty similar to Dabo…
How bout dumb taters?

I understand your analogy. Whoever’s right for the job.Would you rather fight a stubborn old bull or try to mold a young hungry calf?
If we're trying to pick the best bull for a fight I'd rather have the bull in his prime.Would you rather fight a stubborn old bull or try to mold a young hungry calf?
Rhule’s staff isn’t anything special on paper. Let’s hope he can coach and mold them into a great BIG staff. He has done it in his prior two stops, but the BIG is a different animal. Time will tell one way or another. If we're trying to pick the best bull for a fight I'd rather have the bull in his prime.
I'm not sure this bull analogy works here.
One of the main complaints about Frost was him bringing inexperienced coaches. Pretty sure you made that point several times. Now young and inexperienced is good because they're hungry.
I just hope Rhule is better at picking assistants than Frost.
I think Rhule put together a nice mix of youth and some veterans. Let's be honest the staff Frost brought with him to Nebraska had 1 maybe 2 coaches that would have been considered for position coaching openings in the B1G. We should be hiring some coaches who are qualified plus respected enough to be considered for open positions at schools like Michigan, Wisconsin, Penn St..... From Frost's staff Fischer and maybe Walters, but as a WR Coach not an OC, could get B1G interviews. Maybe Beckton. Rhule brought in 2 experienced Coordinators who came in from Power5 programs (Satterfield & White) who would probably get interviews with B1G schools that had an opening. Then you have Foley & Cooper with Power5 experience at Baylor plus NFL with Carolina. Bartel appears to be on the coaching fast track and was already a Recruiting Coordinator for Penn St. Wager was offered a coaching position at Texas Tech but turned it down last year. I still consider Raiola a bit of an underexperienced coach even though he has 1 yr Power5. Then you have the 3 pups in Knighton, McGuirre & Dovarek.Rhule’s staff isn’t anything special on paper. Come on, outside of the coordinators no one on Rhule’s staff is very impressive on paper. If it was #2ndChoice hiring these guys at Wisconsin we would talk shit about his hires. Like I said I’m in the wait and see camp. These types of hires worked for Rhule in the past. This is why people are giving him the benefit of the doubt, but it’s the BIG. It’s the elite of the elite. I’ll drink the Kool-aid when he wins some games. The only thing I know is that he will be better than Frost, but that isn’t saying much.I think Rhule put together a nice mix of youth and some veterans. Frost brought in more FCS coaches where as even Rhule's younger less experience coaches were with him at 1 or 2 of his previous stops. With Rhule's successful track record of developing young coaches I see now reason for me to question him. Plus the support staff he has put together behind the scene's is like nothing we have seen before in Lincoln, and sounds like he might be adding more to it.

I hope you're right. I'm cautiously optimistic. My feels can't be hurt any more by bad Nebraska football.Oh it works jimbo. He will be a good one. He’s also got his Dad to lean on for advise. If he’s not, he will be processed. Rhule ain’t playin
