Welcome to The Platinum Board. We are a Nebraska Husker news source and fan community.
Sign Up Now!I don't think it's technically official, but the signaling has been very strong that the dead period will be lifted at the end of May. There was a lot of complaining when it was extended last time, so I think barring some sort of huge national relapse with B.1.1.7 or whatever it'll be close to full-speed starting June 1.Wait. The NCAA is allowing official visits again? I need to get out more ...
Are we sure they're only taking one? With McCaffrey gone would think they'd take 2 this class.Spring game weekend so far...
Ernest Hausmann ‘22
MJ Morris ‘22
Gavin Meyers ‘22
Jaren Kanak ‘22
Richard Torres ‘22
Landon Samson ‘22
Maverick Noonan ‘23
Reese Mooney ‘23

Will be interesting to watch how ‘22 QB crootin plays out... do we take Torres’ commitment spring game weekend if MJ wants to go home and think about it?
Interesting dynamic with 2 QB’s on campus the same weekend and 1 spot available... edit: personally i’d be all for taking 2 QBs this class. Room is already pretty thin.
True thatAre we sure they're only taking one? With McCaffrey gone would think they'd take 2 this class.
I could see a juco and a HS kid.Are we sure they're only taking one? With McCaffrey gone would think they'd take 2 this class.
I could see a juco and a HS kid.
For example getting MJ and the kid at IWCC.
Why do you say that?

What I would want is a stop gap guy who can win a game if Martinez goes down this year. Local kid so hopefully he sticks around, but I think the kid you want in 2022 or 2023 is HH or Smothers. JMOStandard disclaimer: Past performance is no indicator or guarantee on future performance
LHR's observation: We're o-fer ever at IWCC. Nothing against their QB, and eventually SOMEONE from IWCC is going to sign with the Huskers (the walk-on lineman that didn't pan out a few years ago doesn't count IMO). If he's a kid that we want and can compete for the starting position, then I'd welcome the signing as a way to balance the scholarship distribution (which you so astutely called for in your post above).
