We have not had nearly as good an offense since. Beck knew how to take advantage of his playmakers.

There are several possibilities:

1. Scott Frost wins 8+ and stays on as HCSF. The fan base is happy, Turd doesn't have to fire the golden boy, recruiting picks up, and everything is peachy. We compete for and most likely win the Big 10 west every year going forward.

2. Scott Frost wins 8+ games but he steps down after the season and Urban Meyer becomes head coach. People act like they're upset because Urban Meyer was naughty at his last head coaching gig, but everyone is secretly very happy. We start winning natty's within a few years.

3. Scott Frost doesn't win 8 games, he gets fired or steps down, and Urban Meyer becomes head coach. People act like they're upset because Urban Meyer was naughty at his last head coaching gig, but everyone is secretly very happy. We start winning natty's within a few years.

4. Scott Frost doesn't win 8 games, he gets fired or steps down, and we hire that Army HC to be our head coach. He's a good coach so we probably win 7+ games per year and we compete for the Big 10 west every year. Maybe Monken will turn NU into a solid program, who knows.

Regardless of the outcome of this season, I think Nebraska will be fine going forward. Other than our offensive line, I think we have a pretty solid roster, I think our S&C is good, I think the "culture" is where it needs to be, we've got great new facilities being built, etc. If it doesn't work out with Frost then Turd will hire a good coach and whoever the new coach is will be able to step into a pretty good situation.
