Yup, revisionist history has made people think Riley was a dead man walking all along but the pre-2017 RSS hype was off the charts. We were finally going to see Riley/Langsdorf's "real" offense, Lee was a potential postseason awards dark horse, Diaco and Langsdorf (and Trent Bray??) were being slotted in as potential heirs to Riley whenever he retired someday. It all feels like a strange dream now.
