I have to go with true.

It’s a winnable game against a quality opponent at home. To me, the bare minimum requirement for this to be a successful season is making a bowl game. Going into the back half of our schedule 5-1 would be HUGE as opposed to 4-2. I feel much, much better about us getting 1 of these last games than I do 2, as sad as that sounds.

I get ya OP. My only counterpoint is:
  1. Colorado was the most important game of the season, until it wasn't
  2. Then Illinois was the most important game of the season (first real test)
  3. Then Purdoodoo was the most important game of the season (if we lost it, entire season wrecked)
Now Buttgers is the most important game of the season. I think we'll win by 10-14. Then people will say "Buttgers is overrated - they should have lost to Washington."

Then Indianus will be the most important game of the season.

I guess I'm just exhausted by all the "most important game of the season"s. There's a new one almost every week.

That's how it goes when we've sucked for decade. You can still see during the ILL game. We're still a very fragile team, maybe not as much as the past but still.

Oh shit did not read your post but no disrespect to @Fargo Husker but we can play that game every week.

Yeah, not being snarky toward OP....I just listen to a lot of NU podcasts, radio etc and literally every week is "this is our biggest game of the season."

There's a scenario where the UCLAbia game is our biggest game of the season (if we're at 5 wins when we play them).

None of it is technically wrong, I'm just exhausted by it.

No doubt but it’s been awhile since Nebraska has gotten past this point. The fan base just needs to take it week by week. They didn’t win 12 in the 90’s because they were consumed with how big each game was.

Indianus, UCLAbia, Wisconsin and Cockeye are the most important game to win. Ohio State and USC will be tests to determine how far we are from being in the upper echelon of CFB again.
Only difference I have is USC is probably a tier below upper echelon. I think we'll lose but maybe we catch them on a bad day and we have a good day and it's winnable.

Ohio St is not remotely winnable.

I'm exhausted by your responses. Yore a great guy, but remind me of the friend that never stops texting. I could get through threads a lot quicker if you would slow down the replies. Thanks

Maybe not, but they can't get pink socked by Ohio State
