If Rhule's plan involves anything other than letting Chiles walk on as an emergency back up, Nebraska is more cooked than usual
Clearly not going for the home run and instead trying to find someone to compete with TJ and provide depth.
Rhule must A) feel confident in TJ, B) not feel any kind of hot seat pressure, and C) be gearing up to spend a shit ton of money in the portal and roster retention.

I fucking hope so, because these transfer QB rumors are straight ass.
it looks like a big shift in the philosophy of how the team is built. this season we spent a lot of QB and WR and the passing offense was still garbage for most of the conference schedule. It's looking like we're going to shift some of that spending to OL and RB along with a QB who can run. a much more run-focused offense is probably coming
he looks like Gramstad 2.0. if he's the only QB we get in the portal we are not a serious program
I’m hoping they are taking two transfer QBs with one being just another arm as we have no depth.

I don't buy what some Twitter personality says as gospel at this point but as a poverty program with no interest in winning at a high level that course of action seems mostly likely
Contrary to @TampaBaySkers asserting that I hate dual threat QBs, I’m completely aligned with the dual QB direction. However, the names “associated” with Nebraska have been ass and largely reflect a program not serious about competition as some believe those names signify.
None of the QBs “rumored” are legitimate threats to compete with TJ. I’m not resigned that he is the starter in 2026. Better kill it with a RB transfer and defense because we’re going to look a lot like an Cockeye offense next season.

No idea. Unironically, he has less experience. It doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.
Cockeye’s offense vastly improved when they got a dual threat qb. A proven winner from a smaller school can be a great choice
I can’t believe I’m about to put this in writing, but at this point I’d be happy to be Cockeye. If we had that level of success the money would be flowing in and we’d be looking to elevate to playoff status rather than where we are now.
Cockeye would of made the playoff this year if they had our schedule

He has fewer snaps, but he has been developed in an FBS program for 3 years instead of one.
