Podcasts are still evolving though. Content creators can see how trends are going, so they adapted.
I've seen a few do smaller versions of breakdowns, and then longer, live interacting shows.
So have multiple channels to do different types of podcasts, including one with smaller shows and then others with longer versions.
Then I've seen one, The Ringer, do sports (NFL and NBA specifically) and then movies/shows. And instead of just one different podcast, they do multiple podcasts with different names. But it's all the same people for the most part.
But in general, you adapt to the audience. But you have to get to the point to have an audience. And it comes down to market research. Will a tPB podcast generate enough consistent listeners/followers? And if not, how can you bring more in?
Like I said, I hate the idea of a podcast because you can have answers to every important question on starting one up, but in the end, you need to have a lot of luck to get anything going.
