I’m tickled pink that I was mentioned. The only takes I have are that of a fan. No inside info or anything like that.

Sign Up Now!They’re obviously morally bankrupt, so it isn’t out of the realm of possibilities. Not sure if the possibility of that happening during a podcast, though… but maybeNow I don't want to overstep here, but would he/she/they be willing to pretend their currently step cousins? It wouldn't be on a podcast that's uncouth. It'd be to tPB only fans page which right now is just Garrett doing crush videosThey’re obviously morally bankrupt, so it isn’t out of the realm of possibilities. Not sure if the possibility of that happening during a podcast, though… but maybe
me & @Woodrow F Call can cover the beer drinking ranching segment of the poddy

I’d see if @Frogsker30 would be N. He has more legit info than most guys listed above. It was mentioned in another thread but I figured I would gauge everyone’s interest. If we did a tPB podcast would you:
1. Listen to it?
2. Would you be interested in contributing? Honestly any member could contribute something to the podcast and I think it would be entertaining. Some random names off the top of my head @slattimer @alt f4 @kenyanfeline @Faux Sean Callahan @Jim14510 @HuskerDocCo @Jim14510 @That SOB Van Owen @Dell Husker @vailhusker @Lionsfan93 @BorWhiskey @MtnHusker @RedSeaRising @Alum-Ni @Krup21 @Black Dean
@…TrueColors…
Let me know if you are interested or if you’d like to hear from anyone else.
One of my all time favorite gifs. Thanks for dusting it off.

The other point to consider here is would the resources (mainly time) required for a podcast be a net positive or dilute anything else on offer here? I’m more into stuff like @slattimer’s breakdowns on Rhule’s offensive and defensive possibilities and philosophies. So I hate the idea of a podcast. Not because it’s a bad idea, but it’s a good idea oversaturated by everyone at one point.
Go on YouTube and search Husker podcasts. You find some good ones, but a lot with a low amount of views. But even Inside Nebraska Rivals and Husker Online have low amounts of views compared to other big names. Corn Crazed is another one, and he does alright.
But what I’m trying to get at, starting a podcast now is playing catch up. You need good recording software, an auto tuner, a hosting service (YT, Spotify, etc), and a good following base.
Also agree with this.Disagree on this... content is king.
All you need is people who can carry on a conversation in a charismatic way, and good information. I don't listen to other pods not because they're not well-produced, but because it's like 95% randos giving the same kind of spiels you read in every message board post.
Put out a tight 30 minutes of original stuff in an entertaining way, and it'll spread grassroots like wildfire.
I get you……but you quoted low YT metrics as a reason it’s a bad idea. I know I listen to ALL of mine on Apple and Spotify……and we’re talking about mainly audio stuff here, so YT doesn’t make a lot of sense.YouTube will allow for people to listen to them as podcasts. Plus, I’m this case, we can actually track the data as opposed to Spotify and iTunes. Data is what is needed and YT will show us views and subscribers.
YT is one metric that we can actually see. Content creators who upload their podcasts to Spotify or Apply or Amazon can track a whole letter better of how many subscribers to how many people actually listen to their podcasts to even when they stop listening to it mid-podcast. I would love that data. But I don't know how to pull it so we could conduct market research.I get you……but you quoted low YT metrics as a reason it’s a bad idea. People are listening at work, doing the dishes, walking their dog, cleaning their dong in the shower, ignoring their wife, etc.
I apologize that I didn’t realize you were OFFICIALLY a part of the tBD braintrust, and I feel you on the lack of metrics…..but also, you’d immediately have as much listenership as Bean Callahan’s pod.
That shit is AWFUL.
With that said, I’ve never tried to launch a podcast and I know there are significant coats associated with it…..I just can’t believe that Apple and Spotify don’t provide people with ANY tangible feedback? How does anyone ever get sponsors?
I’ll differ to you here, but that seems crazy to me for an industry THAT large.
Im prosecuting 10 murder trials this year, 3 of which are child murder trials, so if you ever need a guest spot and want some free PTSD give me a shout.
