Reflection on Loss #26.

Purdookie 28, Nebraska 23, October 30, 2021.

Well the day before Halloween turned out to be a horror show for the Big Red. The chosen one Adrian Martinez threw 4 ints including a pick 6 that helped Purdoodoo improve to 3-1 against coach Scrote. I'd have a more detailed write up of the game, but frankly once you've seen Purdookie take a metaphorical shit on Nebraska once, you've seen them take a metaphorical shit on Nebraska a million times and this was no exception.

Scrote State #4: Coach Scrote has been at the helm of our beloved Big Red for 44 games, but he reached the prestigious 15 win mountain a mere 38 games into his tenure, an achievement that would get most coaches either lifetime job security or shit canned unceremoniously. But did you know that since Bob Devaney took over at Nebraska, every single coach reached the 15 win mark in 25 games or fewer with only Bill Callahan needing into his 3rd season to do so. Yes that right. Even Old Man Riley popped his 15 win cherry late in his 2nd season at the helm.
Really shitty memories, thanks though.

I can tell that whatever you post on On3, 2 skerz 3 will give you a laughing emoji...and keep giving you laughing emojis until he finally posts something profound like "you're the dumbass. Frost is the best."
Yup. Lars will probably give some tl;Dr dissertation on how Frost has actually been successful and we're the stupid ones for not realizing it.

Reflection on Loss #25: Minnesota 30 Nebraska 23. October 16, 2021.

Well Coach Scrote's daddy Piss Pants PJ Fleck bent him over his knee and delivered a firm spanking in what has seemingly become an annual occurrence. But to Flecks Pee Pants, you have Scrote's Shit Pants. Nebraska had 4 chances from Minnesota's 2 yard line to tie the ball game and seize the momentum and show Corch Scrote's bull who the real cuck is, but sadly Jaquez Yant tripped on 4th down and Nebraska turned the ball over on downs. To make matters worse, Adrian Martinez and Co proceeded to produce -2 points in the following 3 drives and the Chinfense finally broke down and gave up a big run to ice the game. Sure Nebraska punched in a late TD to keep Scrote's Potemkin close game streak(?) alive. While I understand that my reflections make you feel like you're watching the shit unfold in real time and video would be at best redundant, but I'll drop this Martinez Moment anyways as a bonus for you sticking with this series. Martinez makes a whoopsie.

Scrote Stat #5: Coach Scrote has led Nebraska to 0 bowl games in 4 season and frankly a stat that the last Coach to miss 4 straight bowls in Lincoln was Bill Jennings would bore you to tears, so I'll mix it up and share the last time each the widely accepted blue bloods had a coach miss 4 straight.

USC: Howard Jones, 1934-1937
Alabama: Jennings B Whitworth, 1955-1958
Texas: Ed Price, 1953-1957 (didn't go to 1 after a good season)
Oklahoma: Dewey Luster 1942-1945 (Nazis ruin bowls I think)
Michigan: Bump Elliot, 1965-1968. 2 good years didn't go anyways.
Ohio State: Woody Hayes, 1964-1967, 2 good years didn't go
Notre Dame: Ara Parseghian, 1965-1968, all good seasons didn't go.

I woke up that morning and thought... I think I'm going to take in a game today. So my oldest daughter and I drove the 2 hours down to West Lafayette and picked up two midfield tix for $40. Great conversation and an all around great day that even a dumpster fire of a game could not ruin. But how they lost that game, I'll never understand.

Edit... I'm mixed up.... My story was the 2019 kick in the balls.

You must be thinking of 2020. I was at the game in 2021 in Lincoln and it was very obvious why we lost.

Yeah. Adrian played like dogshit. I really don’t ever leave games early, but after his fourth interception I had to leave in disgust.

Ah, I may have my years mixed up. Similar scores I believe. It was 2019... 31-27 PU after being up 10-0 and dominating most of the first half. Tbh... there have been so many disappointments its hard to delineate at this point.

I wouldn't have caught it if I wasn't there witnessing the worst QB performance I've ever seen in person.

Reflection on Loss 24. Michigan 32 Nebraska 29. October 9, 2021.

Well folks, the upshot is that unlike lots of Frost's others close losses and I mean lots, like an inordinate amount of close losses, like so many you'd think he's doing this on purpose, Nebraska actually took the lead during the game. Nevertheless, a timely Adrian Martinez fumble made sure Nebraska would never get a chance to really put the pressure on Michigan to make it happen. But Michigan made the playoff and Nebraska kept it close so... Yay progress, I guess, whatever.

Scrote Stat #6: Since Coach Scrote has taken over, Nebraska has never had a positive turnover margin per game. The high water mark was a break even on 2019-20, but turnovers probably don't matter so yolo

Don't forget Saltsdogg along with Lars & 2 skerz 3 when you are talking about the ring leaders of the Potato Farm. All 3 of those Posters are quite special.

Reflection on Loss 23: Michigan State 23, Nebraska 20 September 25, 2021.

This might be Scrote's piece de resistance, his magnum opus, his masterpiece. After starting the season with the usual Frost Flounder Nebraska rolled into East Lansing against early season Heisman candidate and eventual Doak Walker and Walter Camp POY winner Kenny Walker and the Chinfense put in an absolute masterclass in bottling him up for a paltry 61 yards on 19 carries. The Spartans converted a single 3rd down and effectively got Remember The Titans'd in the second half barely gaining any yards at all. And yet, Coach Scrote's offense sputtered and former Nebraska ST Coordinator Ross Els's boys either got one over with a trick punt return or in 4 years Scrote hasn't landed a punter who can kick the ball in the planned direction to send the game to OT. A game that should have been out of reach given the fact MSU had no offense to speak of that day. Either way, Anti-Clutch Adrian proceeds to throw the game away, literally, with an interception in OT, but in his defense quick timing routes have never really been his forte or performing when it matters or winning games.

Scrote Stat #7: Future Interim HC Mickey Joseph has said something to the effect of "I can't be a good coach without good players" in referencing the need to win in December/February, two of the 12 months that Coach Scrote has troubling winning in. Coach Scrote has signed a very impressive 36 4 stars since he took over as the head man in Lincoln, but did you know that to date 18 of them have left Lincoln before completing their eligibility with only Cam Jurgens leaving early to go pro? The late Mike Matya caused a bit of a brouhaha a while back on ye Olde Scrolls when he pointed out that 4 star recruits would rather get pissed on by Russian hookers in a bed former President Obama slept in than come play for Coach Scrote (I think that's a direct quote). And indeed it has played out that way with Corch signing 30 4 stars in his 1st 3 classes vs 6 in his last 2.
