Sitting here for most of the day today in a public building in good old Lincoln, Nebraska…I’m struck by how many people walking by are VERY overweight by a very unhealthy margin. I’m not talking a little ‘beer belly’ here either.

We truly live in a ‘super size’ society today.

I recognize there are many reasons for it, but damn. Haven’t just sat and really observed in a long time.

So, get off your ass, go for a walk, and put down that extra fist full of fries…that extra beer however is still fully acceptable.

Sheesh. That is all.

Consumers overlook their own ability to control what food is in the marketplace. Lots of systemic issues in our food supply, but at the end of the day, what fatty wants, fatty gets. Because a company isn't going to protect you from your own health if there's money to be made.

My wife is a PT and it's just mind boggling listening to the stories she tells. We play a game called "guess the race" which is basically her telling me a crazy, ridiculous story about a patient and at the end I guess white, black, Mexican, etc. I'm hitting at about a .900 clip.
 
We should take a perfect square state, fence the whole state.I picked square to save the tax payers dollars. We drop these huge fatties in there and drop tons of fast food in there. After a month we release wolves in the environment and let them pray on the fatties, and now they can't escape because the fences are too high. Wolves fix everything.

Truth. All you have to do is travel abroad and you see entirely different foods and choices available. Less additives, real sugar, no super sizes, and a lot healthier people.
