Teams we have more Quad 1 wins than...

He’s the problem, net Is algorithmic and not an eye test and doesn’t take into account injuries. Nebraska 264th in offensive efficiency and 152nd In defensive efficiency both are poor numbers. Losing to a sub 100 net St. John by 20 (even though on the road) hurts, losing by 20 at home to BC hurts, the 10 point win to a sub 200 Queens doesn’t help either. Nebraska is also getting hurt by with big home losses to Illinois and northwestern. Don’t get me wrong, Nebraska Is HOT and should be in the NIT, and IMO net is a terrible metric, But when you break down what goes into NET it’s really not that hard to understand why they are where they are, once you are in a NET hole it’s very hard to climb out
We lost by 20 to BC at home?

Also another thing, true road games are a good way to build your net, Pickle Smoochers was a great road win for our net, after that our road wins are @ a bad Minnesota team, @ Rutgers, @ Cockeye. Pick off a road win or two more and your cooking

So the NET weighs the scoring margin in your losses, which is fucking dumb IMO. All losses are not created equal, and some big margin losses do not tell the whole story.

Whatever...CBB is fucking dumb in the way it ranks teams. It doesn't take a formula to know which teams are playing well at this point of the year. Rutgers is like 2-5 since they lost a starter and are playing shit basketball, but they are still on the bubble.

NET is like something the Frost apologists would puff their chests out about b/c I am sure NU would have had an amazing NET with the close losses.

Agree that not all losses in basketball reflect the score. You have teams fouling at the end of the game to try to catch up which can greatly increase the scoring differential. Basketball also having only 13 scholarship players can be decimated by an injury or 2 like Rutgers has experienced. I would think common sense also should come into play as games at the end of the year should better reflect how a team will play in tournament time. Takes time for teams to jell and in some cases teams fall apart or play much worse after losing a player to injury. DO we have any idea when Keita might be back from his ankle injury?

I hope we make the NIT as I feel this team deserves to be in it with the way they have played the last month or so. The heater we have been on has been impressive. Plus they make their money off of butts in the seats and TV revenue which the Huskers would deliver. Keisei one of the more entertaining players to watch the last couple months and you know lots of TV's in Japan would be tuned into the games. Maybe we will win 2-3 games in the B1G Tournie making getting into the NIT a non issue

Winning more games probably increases the get rating too

Don't really like our NET ranking.

But at the end of the day we are 16-15, that's just not a very good record to get into the postseason. There are 165 teams with a better W/L record, that's tough to overcome.
