Amen! If each year we can find a way to get 6-10 highly ranked recruits to move to Omaha to play together at one of our local high schools (by offering free housing and cars) and they build that bond and are in town around the team and the staff constantly, that's a great thing for us.
Nebraska finally getting ahead of the curve.

Isn't this just basically what IMG does?
Yes and if MS continues to do it then they can just play a national schedule like most of the other big boy high schools.
No, kids transfer to IMG but many go to college all around the country

I think the "Nebraska way" criticism has become kind of a nonsensical punching bag.
The core of the idea is toughness, hard work, & generally carrying yourself in a way you can be proud of. We were always seeking out competitive advantages, innovation, and trying to find edges where we could, particularly finding solutions that best suit the somewhat unique aspects of our state. Really it's the opposite of the "stuck in the past" criticism. What those innovations & edges look like will vary in each era of CFB.

I don’t hate Rhule or Trae for playing this game. I hate the game for allowing it. But it the game is there might as well go balls deep and play the shit out of it
See this is what I mean, it can have different meanings to different people.
Because if you that the argument of competitive advantage and innovation that a move like this fits that description.

The difference is that tuition at IMG is about $85K
I'm assuming some colleges place them there? I'm just saying that Millard South would be like an IMG but for Nebraska. I'm guessing other colleges do it too Dylan went to Buford when he was going to go to Georgia for example.
I don't know what exactly it looks like, but some sort of common sense rule.
Out of district attending open enrollment school, you can be sports eligible
- if you meet full-time student requirements
- live with parent(s) within reasonable driving distance
- housing and transportation cannot be paid for
These should be easy ineligibles
- A kid's parents parents living in Grand Island and he lives in Omaha with a coach.
- Out of state kids living with a volunteer coach.
- An out of state kid living in Lincoln, preparing for college, attending a high school 50 minutes away.
Like I said it sucks but it's how the game is played now. You can't be like a Dabo and bury your head in the sand because you don't like the portal for instance.
He literally says that he got the blessing from his coach and couldn’t have done it without his former school.
