Found 2 wings of the same bird sitting on the sidewalk, look like they got ripped out.. 🤢
A few years ago we had a hawk that would kill for fun in this big tree out in our front...we would routinely find headless birds laying in our front yard. It was a pretty dark 4-5 months until that savage killer disappeared.

If you're taking branches to the dropoff sites, the access is pretty slow. They open at 7, and would highly recommend getting there near open, as it starts backing up quickly. Went to the 156th & F one around 7:20 this morning, and it was already a 20 minute wait. Once you pulled in there's a ton of room, but access sucks, and there's no shortage of people who don't know how to drive.

My BIL went to the Heflinger park one yesterday evening about 5:30, waited in line and hour and a half, then got turned away at 7:00 still a ways back in line because it closed.

OPPD = One Pole Per Day
My old job as a field surveyor we worked a lot with oppd primarily in subdivision and this is what we called them. And it’s pretty freaking accurate. We’d stake the locations for the underground power, light poles etc. and a month later have to restake it because they waited to long.

Oppd why hast thou forsaken me?

My dumbass forgot to turn the sprinklers off this morning
I did that yesterday. Only took me two days of, “Hey dumbass - remember to turn your sprinklers off” mental reminders before I actually remembered to do it. Sux getting old.

What is 100% worse is that I turned them on last night after me and the wife were done mowing, due to turning them off from the rain the other day lol

Meh. I never worry about it anymore.

If I happened to remember to turn them off I forget to turn them back on. So I quit turning them off all together.
