Storm thread

My neighbor two houses up. The was one branch on what was one of the last remaining Elm trees (a true “grandfather “). Part of it went through his roof, and my neighbor quickly tapped a tarp into place to save their kitchen.

I’ve been raking and washing shredded leaves off of the sides of the house. The skeeters showed up and chased me indoors. Shower time. Gonna save a little money and take a “shower for two”.

Exact
My sister's new fence lost a few sections after just being replaced from the tornado.

They were in the process of replacing some of the siding and a couple of windows this week so it's probably good this happened before they were finished with that.

Hopefully no new damage besides the fence. They just finished replacing part of the roof a couple weeks ago too.
same happened to my brother in Elkhorn

However, roof also just got replaced and is damaged again

In Branson but just got this from the neighbor appears kids’ new playset fucked up my fence. Live just off 156th and ida.

Edit 3-4 fence posts apparently snapped in half. Haven’t even cashed the check from the insurance company for roof/gutters/deck/siding/fence damage from the last storm

Live in stone park and couldn’t believe my fence is still standing. Had a small section of my ridge vent shingles blow off and my dumpster was down at the bottom of the hill but nothing other than that. Neighbors tree is laying on its side with the rootball in the air though.

Power, bitches!

Glad to have it back, but I had the camper in the driveway ready to install some new CIGS solar panels and I was able to use the inverter and 400 amp hour battery bank to power my sump pump ... which was really, really full when my "MacGyver" button pinged and the epiphany was realized. I didn't want to run generators at night, but I would have in about another 30 minutes to avoid the wet basement.

Have power again here, but apparently not at my kids’ daycare so I guess I’m not working today.

Also realized that our huge violet bush in the front yard split in half so that thing is done. Lucky to be without any structural damage here that I’m aware of.

Sounds like a win win.
