Stewart Mandel Prediction

So while I don’t blame him for assuming we will suck I really doubt he asked Mitch Sherman for a fully detailed breakdown of this year’s team.

7-5 is still my prediction.

Potentially...he finishes 4-8...there's no potential. He gone.
Two reasons for some glimmer of optimism:

1. Hiring a competent, experienced OC like Whipple. Could be “Too little too late” but it’s a step in the right direction.

2. The defense has a chance to be special if the DL can come together.

Edit: Busch overseeing ST. That should be 1-2 games in our favor alone.

I think these national pundits have seen enough of scofro to think he'll live up to or (god forbid) exceed expectations. Many have said it for 4 years and now they are saying he's a 3-4-5 win coach until he proves otherwise. don't blame stewie at all.

Isn’t everyone always the coach they are until they prove otherwise?

Agree with the Defense and what should be improved Special Teams.

#1 could be problematic with a new OC and QB. I'm anxious to see it in action but year one of significant changes like this can be difficult. I'd feel better if we had a good OL but we don't.

I think it's 6-6 with potential for 8-4.

Guess he has us beating Rutgers & Indiana in conference play?

Interesting note: "Frost, while handing control of the passing game to Whipple, maintains oversight of the ground attack."

I didn't know this, is this correct or just old/bad info?

I’m right there with you. I went with 7-5 to split the difference.

Could have simply tweeted "I'd like to piss off Nebraska today". Would have been much more direct.
