I think the trend in the past decade has been smaller, faster DEs to counter the spread.

Seems like the defense this year might need to use guys more based on who they're playing vs the "best 11" approach they went with last year, but I'm by no means and expert

You would think it would be tough to stop Wisconsin with Tannor and Nelson the field at the same time. Gotta have one more near 300 lb guy out there.

I don't know that you need a 300 lber, but yeah Tannor is too small. Nelson played 50 snaps last year against Wisconsin and I think Tannor was under 20, so I imagine you'll see someone else against Wisconsin and Cockeye

Would assume that is where you hope someone like Gunnerson can step in, or better yet just someone from transfer portal.

Yes, I believe that Kolarevic ran a faster time during performance testing than JoJo ran at the combine.

Kolarvic's 40 time from this year? They never released them last year that I know of. They did release the top 10 on 10 yard split. Kolarvic wasn't on it. Jojo was like 10th.

I have not seen Kolarevic run as fast in the games as Jojo did, perhaps he was just processing more slowly. Very few LBs with Domanns game speed and instincts, which is why very few 230 lb dudes play nickel. I will believe it when I see it and would prefer to leave him at MLB for depth since there's nothing behind Reimer and Henrich at all.

Last year. They tweeted out/released performance testing #s. That's how a lot of people found out about Phalen Sanford (he did really well in a bunch of events)

There was some "insideher" 40 numbers but nothing released by NE. Rumor was they were having problems with the clock.
