WhaaaaHaarberg should probably transfer.
He wanted a hawwwt take. Someone will bounce at Qb of the three backups at some point.Whaaaa
i agree with the smothers take. The biggest dipshit I've ever heard sat right behind me at the spring game. Loud, obnoxious, but above all, stupid. After every fucking play, had something idiotic to say. Dude is definitely on tater island.
The offense obviously wasn't going to show shit. But still....seemed to confirm inklings from the coaches clinic practice...Need Teddy and Corcoran back badly. Need Rodgers back badly. If that doesn't help shore shit up. I think we suck, and suck bad.
Still think Smothers is the best option at QB personally.
Fair enough. I'm actually having a hard time thinking any of the QBs leaves this year. CT plans to be one and done, Chubba just got here, Smothers already reaffirmed himself and HH is a lifelong fan.He wanted a hawwwt take. Someone will bounce at Qb of the three backups at some point.
I don’t think HH leaves after this year, but if Smothers and Purdy stay I’ll be surprised if he beats them out plus the new qb prospect will be coming in. At some point you start testing the waters. HH is a project. I was always surprised Frost didn’t take a second qb in that class.Fair enough. I'm actually having a hard time thinking any of the QBs leaves this year. I'm still on the HH train. Hes a weapon that just needs the right handler.Yeah Smothers and Purdy will both stay at least through next spring. HH…meh who cares
I wish HH was fine with contact because if her didn’t work he could possibly play another position with his athleticism.I'm still on the HH train. Hes a weapon that just needs the right handler.
I thought HH grew up outside of Nebraska before moving to Kearney. Am I thinking of someone else?Fair enough. I'm actually having a hard time thinking any of the QBs leaves this year. CT plans to be one and done, Chubba just got here, Smothers already reaffirmed himself and HH is a lifelong fan.
I think he was born elsewhere but iirc his dad played here.I thought HH grew up outside of Nebraska before moving to Kearney. Am I thinking of someone else?
Out of all your hawt takes I’ve ever seen on this board, this might be the worst.Garrett Nelson would not start for any other D1 team. That’s how bad our line is
So hawwwwwtOut of all your hawt takes I’ve ever seen on this board, this might be the worst.
Your Uncle sounds like half of my older relatives who get their Husker info from the World Herald. And my friends who are stuck in the 90's still. Bring back Solich, Bring back Sanders, Bring back Bohl, Bring back Brown.....bring back anyone as long as they aren't associated with Callahan or Riley cuz they are terrible people that are the reason Husker football sucks.Maybe the wind, maybe a very bland game plan, but I was underwhelmed by Casey Thompson passing ability. If that’s him, give me Smothers against Cockeyes game plan and give it hell this year.
Also, my uncle is like that. Thinks the 90s were just before Frost got hired and can’t fathom why we don’t play like that right now. I talked to him a couple months ago saying Frost needed 7-5 at minimum and he got pissed saying the younger generation has no faith and it took Tom way longer and that everyone needs to be in it for the long haul. I told him that’s fine but that doesn’t change the fact he needs 7-5 this year minimum
Shockingly enough my 85 year old grandpa, uncles dad, doesn’t even have the same thoughts as him. My uncle says having a full back again would bring us back, and my grandpa says that would be cool and all, but the talent needs an uptick still and Frost needs to figure some coaching out.Your Uncle sounds like half of my older relatives who get their Husker info from the World Herald. Here's my personal opinion. He's said from Day 1 that he is paid to win in the fall. He said that in his first Recruiting presser. I genuinely don't think he cares enough like that to put on a Spring Game like that for essentially a public practice. Regardless of how many, fans are going to show up anyway to it. The program knows that. The Spring Game sucked, but if we're all being honest it means absolutely nothing other than enjoying a nice day in the stadium. The Oklahoma game is a day to bring out all the entertaining stops, not the Spring Game. If any recruits took anything serious out of that 2 hour practice then they are dumb. They've already met the coaches, seen private practice, watched film, yada yada. They get it.My not-very-hot-take is that if they want to treat the spring game as a fan/recruiting event with ridiculously low stakes and the only important thing is to prevent injuries, they should at least do something else to make it entertaining. I don't need Frost to walk out of the tunnel with a cat but have some fun! I remember Bo having o-linemen catching punts, Kenny Bell kicked a field goal once I think? Trick plays, funny bits, skill competitions between drives, SOMETHING to make it worthwhile.
I understand why they don't want anyone getting hurt, and they don't want to show other teams anything (as if it really matters that much) but again, if you're not giving us an actual game or letting us see the starters do something ELSE for fans to enjoy. I can't imagine tuning into another spring game if it's going to be like that from now on. I didn't put any stock into it in terms of how good or bad we'll be in the fall, but it just felt like a waste of time. @TraditionCoalition said it best on RSS, Frost just doesn't seem to understand how to create an exciting atmosphere around himself or the program, even when his back is against the wall.
