I feel like the RB room has been such a cluster that he should've at least gotten a bit more chances on pure mismanaged luck alone. It feels like none of the backs have really gotten a fair shake at playing time other than Rhamir, who has been good but not great. Yant has obviously been the other and probably the more impressive of the two IMO.

My point is, I'm not sure Held could correctly identify the talent in the RB room if it smacked him in the face. I'm not sure Rhamir has done anything that couldn't have been done equally as well or better by some of our other RBs that haven't played. Maybe he is the best back but how would we ever know? Do you trust Held that much?

My impression was that a big part of why Rahmir became the starter is because he blocked better, which is a pretty major consideration when your OL is as shitty as ours is.

It is gonna suck to see, but let's face it, if you are like me and think that Nebraska football will be a train wreck until Frost is let go then it doesn't really matter who comes and goes until we have our next coach. Then that guy and his staff will set out a plan for what to do that will obviously include a roster overhaul anyway.

Does anybody think that having or not having Fidone is going to change the results next year? Is there anybody out there that believes that if we had had Wandale this year that we wouldn't be 3-7 or something close to that? (I would argue that our offense was better without him, but that's another topic)

The only "transfer" that we need to be concerned about is the coaching one that we have put off for another year. (Some believe 2)

I don't like seeing good players leave but that's just going to be the reality until we eventually make our change. I won't enjoy seeing us lose to teams like Rutgers or Indiana (hell, I don't even like having to sweat those teams) but it's something that has to happen in order for is to finally put this farce behind us and hopefully move on to something better. (please, baby Jesus)

1. Given Yant's academic struggles, we sure he could literally get in anywhere else besides JUCO? No guarantees after JUCO and they don't hold hands as much as a major D1 would

2. Fidone has literally called Beckton one of the top coaches in the country, he really gonna jump ship on that guy? And he's coming off of an ACL.

Yeah I saw it reported somewhere, towards the beginning of the year, kind of a feel good story for Yant if I remember right, that he's an SEC talent and the only reason we got him is because of his grades. He was basically put on a 1 year "try out" academically to keep his spot on the roster before he would see any playing time. Believe that was 2020.
