Brandon Baker
Grant Brix
Jayshawn Ross
Nuku Mafi
Devoux Tuataga

From what some posters have mentioned on here Brix might be our only true take out of that list. But that could also change if coaches think other commits might be looking around. I think we are at least 50% on Brix but if we shit the bed against Colorado you could see more concern about this staff which could hurt recruiting

we're not in Tuataga's final 5.

I'll say 50-50 we get one

Although it's absolutely nuts to run after the first two games of what was billed to be a re-build over 2-3 years with steady improvement over the course of this year. There's really no reason to pass any kind of judgement until we get to November. What's the rush? Signing day is in mid-December. That being said, some kids will be tempted, as you say - I do not doubt it.

This day and age anything is possible with teenagers. Someone gets in their ear messing with them. We could also see some recruits move on due to our coaches making changes. I doubt Baker wants to come here unless we are the highest bidder, but if we are I would definitely be excited. I'd like to know more about why schools have cooled on Ross as he looks like an elite athlete at the rushing position. I've heard rumors but nothing I could substantiate.

On the other guys, I don't think we ever sent out official written offers (8/1) to Mafi or Ross

I'm not sure they are absolutely in love with any of these guys except Brix. There are a lot of kids in the class now, and they may rather wait to see if someone crops up based on their senior year. They also have to make it feasible to take a portal if they have a fit.

My instincts tell me Baker will finally take an Oregon OV in December and commit.

With the high school football season now in full swing, Husker247 will be taking a look at performances from the current group of Nebraska commits from both the 2024 and 2025 classes.

As Husker commits competed in 24 different games across 10 states, this serves as a quick recap to see how Nebraska is being represented on Friday nights around the country and to highlight a few outstanding showings.

Carter Nelson — Ainsworth improved to 2-0 on the season with a dominating 66-0 victory over Madison, thanks in part to Nelson’s 176 yards from scrimmage (148 rushing, 27 rushing, 1 passing), as well as 6 total touchdowns.

Roger Gradney — Rice Consolidated rolled into Houston and grabbed a win over Kashmere to seal a perfect start through the first two weeks of their season, defeating the Fighting Rams by a score of 31-14. Gradney played on both sides of the ball for the Raiders and recorded 9 rushing yards and 24 yards on kickoff and punt returns.

Daniel Kaelin and Dae’vonn Hall — This pair of future Huskers led Bellevue West in a bounceback win over Omaha Burke after a loss to North last week, as Kaelin recorded 200 yards and a pair of touchdowns, with Hall bringing in 6 receptions for 43 yards. Isaiah McMorris did not play

Carlon Jones — Bay City suffered their first loss of the season, falling to Edna by a score of 28-21, but Jones had a standout individual performance. In the loss, Nebraska’s future defensive lineman came away with 7 total tackles, including 2.5 sacks, which resulted in 17 yards lost.

Keelan Smith — After a tough week one challenge against a star-studded Lee’s Summit North Squad, Smith and the Liberty North Eagles took down the crosstown Liberty Blue Jays 31-7. Keelan led the team in both total yards and touchdowns, recording 135 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns.

Quinn Clark — Gallatin followed up their Week 1 victory with yet another, this time taking down Sentinel in a 28-13 game on Friday. Clark also led his team in receiving yards with 75 on 6 receptions for the Raptors.

Conor Booth — Nebraska’s most recent 2025 pledge recorded 313 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns in Bishop Neumann’s 62-10 win over Lincoln Lutheran on Friday. Through a pair of games, Booth is averaging 17 yards per carry and already has 10 touchdowns, including one as a receiver.
