heard that Nebraska hasn't had over 80,000 fans in stadium since 2016 (source: Sam McKewon)

why did they expand it and then in 2020 during Covid year when nobody was in stadium or on campus they didn't do any renovations?

athletic administration has been so fucked, thank God it appears Turd at least knows how to put out fires and spin shit to look good

Not using Covid as an opportunity to bring down capacity and increase fan experience was a miss, but I'd bet they're already pretty cash strapped with brand new facilities for a team that hasn't made a bowl in half a decade

The money wasn’t there. It’s tied up in the new facilities. Sam is right instead of adding seats last time they should have reduced seats and added stuff for the fan experience.

Frost game one was packed to the gills, that 2016 stat is BS

I’m guessing Mckewon’s stat doesn’t count that rained out game. Not saying it’s right not to, just saying that’s a classic stat manipulation technique.

from what I remember you are correct, that game was packed

All that being said they have to do something about the stadium. OU downsized and upgraded regular seats to club in the middle of back-to-back heismans and multiple CFP runs. Even if we start winning more we still need to downsize cuz when the boomers can’t go anymore we won’t be able to get over 75,000 in there on the regular.
