SEC 3-6 in bowls so far

SEC now 1-5 after Tennessee loses.

Tennessee got hosed by the refs on that forward progress call in OT. Glad Purdue won, but no way you make that call.
I thought in real time it was the correct call. I’d be hot if it were the team I was cheering for though.

That being said I think refs let plays go way too long now a days because of replay when forward progress is stopped and then linemen come in and push a pile.

He didn't make any effort to stretch the ball until after the whistle. His only forward progress was basically his tight end dragging him toward the end zone.

Stopping forward progress was initially implemented to avoid injuries. No one is getting injured on that play. Let them play! No way you call it there.

I hate to say it but Georgia and Bama will play again in the Natty. Praying I’m wrong.
I wouldn’t bet against those two teams. It also wouldn’t surprise me if one of them get beat. The sec will get one for sure.

It wasn't about the whistle. Ref said he blew the whistle after he stretched his arms. In replay they decided his forward progress was stopped. Can't say I've ever seen that done in a replay.
That can't possibly be the correct explanation because it'd make Martinez vs Michigan reviewable for when forward progress was stopped

I saw the line judge say right away that his forward progress was stopped.
