Salary Predictions

So assuming the LB coach stuff is correct that’s another relatively low salary assistant. Added to my predictions that looks like:

Co-OC/TE: Marcus Satterfield - $900,000
Co-OC/QB: Jake Peetz - $850,000
WR:
OL:
RB:
E.J Barthel - $300,00-$400,000

DC:
DB:
Evan Cooper - $400,000-$500,000
DL: Terrance Knighton - $300,000-$400,000
LB: Rob Dvoracek - $300,000-$350,000
Special Teams: Ed Foley - $400,000-$500,000

Even going by the high end of these predictions would leave us with just over $3 million to spend on 3 remaining assistants. To me this means one of three things:

1) We have some big fish lined up for the last few spots.
2) We are going to over pay under qualified assistants to get closer to $7 million.
3) We are going to go cheap overall and not approach the allotted $7 million.

Hopefully it’s #1
Hopefully he Atleast hires an experienced line coach and DC.

All the hires have followed the same trends he’s used to build every staff, should have expected it. And he told us what he was looking for in a staff. It’s a young staff hungry to get after it in recruiting

I think he was anticipating paying Mickey 1mil. Then 2 mil for a dc and oline.
I think you're right. He was anticipating Robinson and MJ, and will now likely save 600-800K on those two spots because he won't have those guys. I think we'll end up around 6.3M

Yeah I have no real issues with the hires so far. Need to get an experienced oline is probably the most important non coordinator hire.
Not worried about any D hire — need to find out who the d coordinator is. The scheme is more important than the coaches imo.

If this is where you end up you should go back to Robinson with an offer he can’t say no to. If he’s your guy, go get him.

This is my thought as well. I think he was waiting to see if Mickey got a HC job elsewhere and if not he would have been back.

Well, we have another in the boat (still). Raiola is set to make $325k next year based on his original contract. I'll bump it up to $350k just because.

Co-OC/TE: Marcus Satterfield - $900,000
Co-OC/QB: Jake Peetz - $850,000
WR:
OL:
Donovan Raiola - $350,000
RB:
E.J Barthel - $300,00-$400,000

DC:
DB:
Evan Cooper - $400,000-$500,000
DL: Terrance Knighton - $300,000-$400,000
LB: Rob Dvoracek - $300,000-$350,000
Special Teams: Ed Foley - $400,000-$500,000

That puts us at $4.25 million on the high end. We're definitely going to be either overpaying some of these guys or not hitting that $7 million threshold.

Did you factor in 2.5 mil for Jim Leonhard?

Tony White coming in at DC. The last salary figure I can find for him was from 2020 where he made just over $700k. I'm going to guess it's gone up since then and we'll give him a nice bump too so I'll put his salary prediction at $1.2 million.

Co-OC/TE: Marcus Satterfield - $900,000
Co-OC/QB: Jake Peetz - $850,000
WR:
OL:
Donovan Raiola - $350,000
RB: E.J Barthel - $300,00-$400,000

DC: Tony White - $1,200,000
DB: Evan Cooper - $400,000-$500,000
DL: Terrance Knighton - $300,000-$400,000
LB: Rob Dvoracek - $300,000-$350,000
Special Teams: Ed Foley - $400,000-$500,000

If my math is correct, this would give us at least $1.5 million to spend on a WR coach.

Updating with Peetz out and Wager official. Also taking Dvoracek out for now since he's not "official."

Co-OC/QB: Marcus Satterfield - $1,200,000
TE/Asst ST: Bob Wager - $300,000-$400,000
WR:
OL:
Donovan Raiola - $350,000
RB: E.J Barthel - $300,00-$400,000

DC: Tony White - $1,500,000
DB: Evan Cooper - $400,000-$500,000
DL: Terrance Knighton - $300,000-$400,000
LB:
Special Teams:
Ed Foley - $400,000-$500,000

Barthel is already an FBS position coach, I'd be shocked if he was under 550-600k here.

Bryan Applewhite had 16 years G5 RB coaching experience and 2 years P5 RB coaching experience and we paid him $325k last season.

Barthell has 3 years FCS and 1 year P5 RB coaching experience. Assuming he doesn’t have another title tacked on I don’t see how we pay him much more than Applewhite.
