Breaking Rogers in the portal

He's always played interior in 4 down.

I disagree. Barring an impact transfer, I feel like B1G teams will run at will on us.
It’s gonna be ‘Melvin Gordon running for 400 yards in three quarters’ level of bad run defense this season. Being a fan of this team is such a miserable experience.

Really good DL can roll their hips. Triple extend and lock out at their arms quickly. Nash certainly has the strength to do all of it. And could be a monster. He just hasn’t been able to do those quickly. Hell do one. Then the other. Making it much less effective and hard to control the OL. That’s his biggest issue.
Rumor has it that Raiola tells his linemen to “block somebody” before his guys face Nash, and THAT’S why OL look better against him. It’s not Nash’s technique…

Hey guys, I want to you be physical on this play. No more of that not being physical. Go out and hit somebody

Not really sure what you mean by that. There's nothing wrong with his post?
It's a dumb comparison. The stats are basically Rogers vs. Robinson straight up. Totaling a bunch of games played where guys got maybe a handful of snaps and acting like we should have expected to see any production is dumb.

I don't really think it's dumb at all. If you don't show people the numbers on Twitter they will keep spewing nonsense. It proves a point that he was the second most experienced dlinemen we had left, by a mile.

Showing people bad numbers doesn't help anything. Ole boy should find a different profession or be less bad at it.

So what numbers was he supposed to show then? He proved he has more experience than every dlinemen except Robinson.

Just leave out the other lineman who basically didn't play. It exaggerates how good Rogers is (he's good, but not producing more than multiple lineman who actually play combined good). Say Robinson is basically the only guy back who has actually done anything.

You'd think Nash is fucking terrible looking at that graphic when he just hasn't really played a lot of snaps.

Well he listed the number of games played, so if you choose to ignore that portion then that's not his fault. On the topic of Nash, he has not been very good. If you watched him play you would know that.

I can see what you're complaining about, but there really isn't much else to show for dlinemen stats. It's pretty difficult to find stats for number of snaps played. The guy isn't tracking this stuff himself, he's just showing you the data that he can find in a table instead of spread around.

I’m going to be that poster. Apologies SSO if this offends you but I felt the need to share. Delete this if you feel necessary to. I love your site and appreciate your articles. Our DL is going to get worse before it gets better. WE will be losing a “key” DL to the portal and he will be headed to Oregon after the semester. I wish I was posting this as an April Fool’s Day joke but it is true. I just hope are coaching staff knows this.
SSO is this edge rusher more of an OLB in our scheme or is he a DE in our 3-4?
