Here are some CFB fan/observer thoughts on where the game is at in light of tonight's "portal flip."

In my 'research' I saw a hell of a lot of SEC fans going "WTF are we doing here guys???"

Thank you SEC brethren. I thought it'd be LOLing at Nebraska but even the SEC folk are just exhausted by this whole thing.

Gotta put some rules & structure around this. Tonight's thing was just way too stupid to go on.

I actually think this might be a mini straw that broke the camel's back. Just put some structure on it.


Also I think this will put an end to ALL teams announcing commitments without having a signed contract.

Although the teams don't announce it do they. I think programs are going to step up to stop this. What's to stop the next guy from announcing his commitment - JUST to get a counter offer. CFB coaches are going to be on guard bc they won't want to be humiliated like Rhule just was.

I'm not so sure about that. I'm seeing a lot of SEC people hating this tonight. Even in the tweets I posted, 2/3 of them are from SEC people. Which is ironic bc Kentucky was the winner here (but they all hate UK).

I don't think the SEC folks like that the agents have this much power. There's no salary cap, no restrictions, no rules of any sort. Just wait for Kirby or Heupel to get humiliated like Rhule did tonight and they'll all be banging the drum for change.

The agents are 100% calling the shots here....I can't see that anyone would want that to continue.
