Sign Up Now!He was interim coach that year and was 38 years old. The fans didn’t hate him, they knew the situation the program was in coming off Tressel gate.I avoid recency bias to a fault and I just can’t get the memory of #2ndChoice’s 6-6 at OSU and those fans hating him out of my mind. Don’t get me wrong, #2ndChoice would be a great hire but if I had the choice, give me Rhule
Yeah I don't hold that season against #2ndChoice at all.He was interim coach that year and was 38 years old. The fans didn’t hate him, they knew the situation the program was in coming off Tressel gate.
Always players to be poached but knowing how they practice, that they're not dumbasses, etc is a real advantage.#2ndChoice could poach some Cincinnati players and recruits. Rhule doesn’t have any players or recruits to poach right now and has been out of the college game for 3 full years. Give me Fick

Agreed i wouldnt be upset with Rhule. But Rhule was a P5 coach in the Big 12(borderline P5) for 3 years and went 19-20. I’m aware of the 11 win season but worried that could have been lightning in a bottle. He did leave after that season after all.Again, I’d be happy as a clam with the hire. But the way I see it - Rhule = Power 5 proven. #2ndChoice = G5 proven and only body of work in P5 didn’t go well.

I like the sustained success #2ndChoice has had at CU. It proves it wasn’t/ isn’t a fluke.
#2ndChoice at Cincy:
2017: 4-8
2018: 11-2
2019: 11-3
2020: 9-1
2021: 13-1 (CFP loss to Bama)
2022: 9-2 (so far)
That’s a lot of winning
today would be bestMitch seems to think Rhule news could come today or Friday
