He didn’t cancel any visits, just said he has no visits scheduled for this weekend. Also said he’s interested in Ole Miss, not “focusing” on them. I’d guess Ole Miss has other QBs higher on the board than Brennan, so I’m not super concerned about that right now.

I thought it was interesting that Dillon Gabriel may be a possible target (not sure how this board feels about him), but would only seriously consider Nebraska if Frost would come and visit him. Doesn't sound like that has happened yet.

Agreed. Just interesting to me that we obviously need a portal QB. I think some of the guys in the know on this board have said our list right now is:
1. Myles Brennan
2. Chubba Purdy
3. Max Johnson
I just hope we are confident in getting 1 of those top ones, or there is more going on we don't know. It seems like we kicked the tires with the Akron QB, but yet didn't check in with Gabriel? The cancelling of the visit of the Akron QB would seem to mean that we must be at least a little confident in getting one higher on our board.
And who knows what is actually going on with Rattler. He was initially rumored to Arizona State but they are getting their QB back next year so that pretty much eliminated them. Next, it was UCLA, but Chip Kelly may not be there as he is rumored to be the top choice for Oregon. He could then go to Oregon if Kelly wanted him, could go to USC if Riley decided to give him another chance (but if Williams leave OU, he would probably be headed to USC), and then after that there are obviously lots of other teams looking for a QB who would love to have him.
It would just really suck to completely strike out.

Man does Dean need Nate back. 247 makes it sound like there could be quite a few recruits here this weekend for official visits and all we have from Mongo is that Emmet Johnson will be here. It seems they literally have no clue there are going to be other official visitors here this weekend or who they are.
