Yes and it's a great story. I was living in Omaha in my first home. I had overgrown maple trees that needed trimming and called a guy who put a flyer in my mailbox. Had a strong jersey accent so I asked him about how he ended up in NE and he made up a story. Did good work. Sent me a bill.Side note on witness protection. Do you think you’ve ever met someone in it? I’m in rural Nebraska, would be a great place to put someone.
At the time I put bills in a drawer to pay twice a month and the bill fell out of the drawer into the shelf below so I was late paying. I got a really nasty call about not paying him (message) and found the bill...paid it.
Year or so later I read about a guy that had died in the paper who was a part of the witness protection program. Think he hit a train with his car. He was a collector for the mob and took guys out. Damn I'm glad I paid that bill. LOL
PS Forgot to add that the story in the paper included his photo and it was him!
