Enjoyed the win today gentlemen. I traveled down to watch the game with my 96 year old dad. He’s fading, and on Monday we’ll transition him to comfort/hospice care. Bittersweet knowing that this will be the last Husker football game we’ll watch together. 🥺

So sorry to hear brother. You won't regret enjoying it with him. When my grandpa was dying, it was week to week on how long he'd make it, so I went down and watched the bowl game against Tennessee with him as an ode to watching hundreds of games with him when I was younger.

Somehow he made it to the next season and passed at halftime of the Arkansas State game, which I also got to watch with him. It hurts to see them go, but it's wonderful enjoying those final moments with them, even if it's as simple as watching a Husker game.

I know it was all self inflicted and not really as close as it actually got…but there is a huge benefit to closing this one out the way we did. Next year, kids won’t remember the details of HOW we got in a late close game situation in NYC, just THAT we were in a late close game situation and we fuckin’ iced the game by Rahmir making a tough run on 4th down to close it out

This is a great launch pad to attack demons head on.

Well, I want it to be the case. Isn't that how it works Mavsker? I mean, when I close my eyes Nebraska definitely beat Illinois. It's what I told my grandkids. They told my great grandkids what I told them. If I change it now, it would be confusing for the whole family. I make Nebraska beating Illinois number 14 on my list if that will make you happier.
