Totally agree. How can you give a grade when you don't know what the player's assignment was? And how they basically grade all of college football withing 24 hours?

From what I understand, anyone can volunteer to be a PFF grader. No knowledge or playing or coaching experience necessary. It takes an army to churn out those ratings as fast as they do. It's just novices making guesses. Utterly useless.

Even if you know the general call...you don't know how it's coached, some guys teach the same scheme differently, different aim points, different attachments to the run game, etc. It's a total crap shoot, especially if inexperienced. I'm sure there's some dipshit that is dinging OL on wide zone for "missing a block" on midline.
