Don’t teams opt out of bowl games all the time? I think Cockeye St just didIn hindsight…but those pesky conference tie-ins get in the the way. Notre Dame doesn’t find themselves burdened with those obligations.

Lolol look at these crybabies
Logically, it should hit them in the wallet if they do as they’ve just cost their conference mates a share of that bowl payout money.Don’t teams opt out of bowl games all the time? I think Cockeye St just did
Yeah maybe they get fined. Not sure if we did when frosty and team opted out to enjoy winter breakLogically, it should hit them in the wallet if they do as they’ve just cost their conference mates a share of that bowl payout money.
I mean Ohio St lost to the team they dropped behind. That makes perfect sense. Dropping Alabama behind teams that didn't play makes no sense to me.It's gonna be funny to watch people rationalize why dropping Ohio St for their close loss to #2 is fine, but dropping Alabama after getting nuked by #3 is not fine.
Teams move up all the time on bye weeks when teams in front of them played and lost. And teams losing their CCG have been punished in the past and even lost playoff spots for losing.I mean Ohio St lost to the team they dropped behind. That makes perfect sense. Yeah that part is absurdWhat's crazy to me is flip flopping Miami and ND when neither team played. Having said that ND shouldn't have been ahead of Miami last week. Its all craziness.

Payout from the bowl would be well over that. Not sure what a bowl game cost the school - charter flights, hotels, meals, buying tickets etc - might be about $500k for all I know
Tom Bevacqua strikes again!
