All of you people waking up in the 4 o’clock hour are out of your gd minds.

It’s a phase where they feel badass for going to the gym and saying they are their wheaties. They’ll grow out of it
I have 4 kids. I'm not going to take time away from being with them while I go lift in the evening after school/work. I workout while they sleep. Only way I can get the best of both worlds.

When my wife was pregnant, she basically told me it was either I'm done working out or I won't be around to see our daughter grow up. So, I made a Powerlifting gym in the garage and workout before work or after she goes to bed for the night. You do what you gotta do

Best cereal. Peanut Butter Chex. Haven't been able to find it since Covid hit. Pissed.
You ever had Grape Nuts? My dad was obsessed with them for a while. They were really good but super filling.

Back in the day when I did workout i went at night after they went to bed. I can't do the morning thing.

When I was in college, an 8am class was like medieval torture for me.

As an adult, I get up by 4:30am during the work week. I like to run or go to the gym before work. I typically don't have meetings until 8am or later, but just like to be up early. I find I have the most physical and mental energy in the mornings so I take advantage. Plus it is a time of day where nothing else is going on, so it is my time.

It means I go to bed by 9:30 or 10 every night but I don't need to be up late for the most part.

I can't do the evening, mainly because like I said, kids. During football season, it's impossible. I wouldn't get home until after 8 pm then.

I've been a morning lifter essentially for 23 years now, started freshman year, have had a few lapses, but pretty consistent. Routine and structure. The 4:15 wake up didn't start until my kids were born though.

It started out ok. Kids in bed by 7:30-8. As they got older 9 then 10 then just stopped working out.

About 8 hrs before. Wake up at 7 with the kids. Take em to daycare mid morning, work out, eat and do whatever needs done around the house. At work by 3.

There's a Powerlifter/Bodybuilder named Cory Gregory that I follow in that industry. He trains in the morning, famous for his "4 AM Crew". Anyway, that's his M.O., "that's my time of day to work on me". Once my wife essentially gave me no choice but to lift in the morning, I've taken that mantra on as well. No one to bother you, just focus on self improvement.
