Breaking Oregon and Washington to the B1G

my opinion: get to 20 teams (so add two more, ideally eastern teams). Break up into 4 - 5 team divisions based on geography. BIG west BIG midwest BIG great lakes Big east i.e. Play every team in your division, so four games. Have 1 protected game from another team not in your division so like nebraska and usc would be protected, then rotated playing one team from other divisions thats not a protected series.

Example: Nebraska would be with Cockeye minnesote wisc and Northwestern. Protected game USC. then play Oregon, Illinois Maryland to get to 9 con games.

I'd like to see them go to 10 conference games.

You can throw out the previous schedule for next year...

Re: Oregon and Washington joining in 2024.

That's kind of too bad for us. We had a pretty manageable schedule for 2024. No USC, Michigan or Ohio State. We were set up for a pretty good run in Rhule's second year. Who knows what that schedule will be like now, but it will almost certainly be harder. I'm sure we get at least one of the PNW schools added.

On the other hand, 2025 was a beast, with OSU, Michigan and USC (plus Cincinnati in the non con). Maybe things will even out.
