They should have done their own due diligence. Clearly they had agreements also or they’d be allowed to post. If there’s something in there that doesn’t allow them to start before 9/1, it’s their own damn fault.

Is this the most Dean thing ever? Problems with his site on the most important day. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me, fool me 3 times.... I still remember back in the day when the Rivals Servers kept crashing on signing day multiple years. At the time I had limited days off of work (10) that I could take each year. The first year it got me and I was pissed. So the second year he promised me the servers wouldn't crash so I took the day off again and it crashed, again. I ripped him a new one and got a cry direct message from him that he was just trying to feed his family and he truly didn't think it would crash. Begged for forgiveness....... That was the start of a somewhat tumultuous relationship with him where I trusted him less and less the more I figured out what was involved with his climb to power.

It comes down to the idea that the HuskersOnline/HuskersIllustrated name isn’t worth what it is now without access to Rivals resources and their platform.

Reading some of the tea leaves combined with some rumblings we’ve seen, I 100% see the argument Rivals could or is making that they’re due compensation.

I don’t think it’s as simple as “Dean owns the name so we are all fine.”

I said this from the beginning. Sean should have just sold them the name and started fresh. NO ONE would have given 2 shits about it if it launched with a new name. No one.
