Which one is better and why?

Lincoln is great for school. It's like a big college town. That's the one thing it has over Omaha in UNL and gamedays.

When I come back to visit NE I'm in Omaha unless I'm going to Lincoln for a game. Lincoln sucks outside of that.

In terms of traffic annd ease of navigation, and interesting things to do, Omaha wins hands down. The thing that my wife and i go back and forth on is whether we would rather live in the Haymarket/Railyard or Old Market when we downsize. I’m leaning towards theHaymarket/Railyard just because of bars and restaurants plus the game day experience on Saturdays. Omaha also has the Blackstone, Dundee, Aksarben and other walkable areas though which are fun.

Last time I went to the old market it was a shithole

Live in Omaha, but have to travel to Lincoln a decent amount for work. This shouldn't even be a conversation. Literally the only thing Lincoln has over Omaha is the Huskers. I hate driving through that town.

Think how terrible I’d be with without the arena. Like a desert ghost town

Lincoln has outgrown it's infrastructure and getting anywhere is a nightmare, the mayor is a lib moron,, and shopping and entertainment options outside of the arena are non-existent. With that being said, I'd still rather live in Lincoln than mini-Chicago. I don't feel like getting hit by a stray bullet anytime soon.
