Nebraska is hosting a couple midweek visitors who are being highly courted.
That includes a top 75 player out of Texas, who is just arriving for an official visit with Nebraska. He's got high football upside to go with his high jump championship hardware.
Zion Robinson is rated No. 71 nationally in the 2026 recruiting class by 247Sports and sixth among all receivers in the class.
Along with Robinson, defensive back and
Florida State commit
Tedarius Hughes is also in Lincoln.
Out of Mansfield, Texas, Robinson is a 6-3 receiver out of Texas who is also a state champion in the high jump. He's had reported 100 meter times in the low 10.9s and a 22.03 in the 200. He also caught 42 passes for 527 passes and eight touchdowns last season, with 76 yards rushing on 14 attempts tacked on.
Robinson started to catch some notice as a sophomore when he had 25 receptions for 409 yards and six touchdowns.
He recently completed an official visit to
Miami and has one on the schedule for
Stanford next week. He also had an OV to
Michigan at the end of May.
While he's still developing as a route runner, 247Sports' Gabe Brooks had a strong evaluation of him in a recent scouting report.
"More polished pass catchers are out there, but very few boast this combination of above-the-rim hardwood context, a state championship high jump gold medal, and corresponding high-level athleticism in pads," Brooks wrote. "Frame and explosion foster contested-catch dominance. Displays sneaky run-after-catch effectiveness relative to frame and straight-line top-end gear. Shows adequate acceleration that times requires a build-up runway, but leads to breakaway long speed."
