I also think brown, hill, Bonner transfer so more new guys playing
Unless Brown is explicitly asked to move on, I don't expect him to go anywhere.

With Betts back in the mix and the addition of Kemp, WR shouldn't be our top priority anymore. We desperately need to address OL and LB in my opinion, with TE as a bigger need and WR too.

DL, IMO, is the area we should be the most concerned about.

I think the fact they are not says two things: one, they feel good that Robinson won’t grad transfer. I still am a bit concerned about that . And two, they think the 5 upperclassmen are enough big DL, which says they plan to sprinkle light guys in at DE in the 3 man front. They are looking for HS DL, but apparently not so much transfer portal since they got Jeudy. They have been going after faster smaller hybrid guys like Borders, Wallin and Sherman. I think we’ll see a liberal use of Edges at one or the other DE spot

None of these guys were in the two deep at Georgia, of course. No one who was would transfer.

Hood has never played a snap on offense in two years (second year injured), and he was a 3 star coming into college.

Singletary was on the field for 14 snaps last year.

8 Georgia edges had more snaps than Sherman last year.

Wynn played more snaps his last year at Alabama than these three played combined last year
I really expected a lot more out of Wynn last year.

Former Nebraska wide receiver Zavier Betts took another big step toward rejoining the Husker football team on Sunday.

On Friday, HuskerOnline reported that all signs pointed toward Betts rejoining NU’s program. On Sunday, his mother Shannon confirmed he attended the 6 p.m. team meeting with head coach Matt Rhule. Winter conditioning for Nebraska begins this week.

The entire team reported back on Sunday for the meeting, and then a team dinner was scheduled after it. The staff also held an optional parent “Meet N’ Greet” event from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. allowing the families of the players to get to know the new coaching staff.

Betts left the Husker program in March of 2022 but did not officially enter the transfer portal until Jan. 3. It was at that time when Rhule initiated contact with Betts.

Before leaving NU, Betts was one of the most promising receivers on the roster. In the 2020 On3 Consensus Rankings, Betts was the 103rd overall rated player in the country. He participated in the prestigious Nike Opening Event in the summer of 2019.

As a freshman in 2020, Betts exploded on the scene with a 45-yard touchdown reception on a flip pass against Penn State, helping the Huskers pull off the upset over the Nittany Lions.

In 2021, he had an 83-yard touchdown run against Northwestern, the longest run by a Husker player since 2012.

Betts played 18 games over his two seasons at NU, catching 32 passes for 417 yards and one touchdown. He also had three rushes for 109 yards and a touchdown.

It’s unknown if Betts will go back on scholarship this month or have to rejoin the program as a walk-on.

Wednesday is the last day to enter the portal until May 1.

People can continue to exit the portal, though. The last possible day for Nebraska to add a transfer who can participate in spring football is January 30, the day registration fir the semester beginning 1/23 closes.
